Virtual Gastric Band – Solution to Permanent Weightloss

I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist and I specialise in Virtual Gastric band. I have been working with a number of individuals to help them achieve weight loss for some time now, although this has proved positive, but I then decided to incorporate the Virtual Gastric Band ‘VGb’ within my practice. Through my research I was impressed to find out how it has helped a number of people achieve weight loss permanently.

Virtual gastric band is not a diet but rather one of the solutions I offer to those people out there who are struggling with weight loss and feel helpless. Some of you might have tried other methods of weight loss and might have found out that they didn’t work or they only worked temporarily. Research shows that dieting only works for 9% of people. The success rate of the virtual gastric band to-date has been reported at 95%.

If you would like a superior, safer and more cost effective way to lose weight and keep a slimmer figure then our unique technique is the answer you are looking for. After you have had the virtual gastric band surgery, you will be offered after care support and you will then be introduced to Paul McKenna’s “I can make you thin” system, for ultimate success.
I am confident that I can help you change your life and help you achieve weight loss for a healthier You.

What is Virtual Gastric Band?

The possibilities of our mind are without doubt infinite and limitless, it is feasible to create almost whatever it is that you want to experience, even simulated surgery. Incredible is it? This may be hard for you to believe, but this is exactly what people are now trying with success to make weight loss happen. Virtual gastric band is nowhere near as drastic as with having a surgical gastric band.

The virtual gastric band involves the therapist replicating the gastric band procedure purely with hypnotic suggestions. No scalpels, anaesthetic or scars – just pure power of the mind. A hypnotic state is induced and the client is then talked through the gastric band procedure as if it is actually happening. There is no pain or anything physically at all really happening but the subconscious mind finds it very difficult to differentiate between fantasy and reality. By tricking the mind into believing that a gastric band has been fitted at the top part of the stomach, reducing the opening into which food would enter. This restricts the amount of food intake and suppresses appetite.

The Virtual gastric band program is about helping people change their relationship with food which is vital to the process of shedding the excess weight. You will stop engaging in overeating, bingeing, snacking or emotional eating. By using the power (mind, heart and spirit) it will provides a shift in helping you achieve good health.I tend to focus on helping individuals change themselves on the inside so they can stick to a plan which then becomes a simple habit that feels natural.

Virtual gastric band has been tried and tested by Sheila Granger. The initial trial was based on a 3 hr session and it was recorded that the group of people taking part lost over 14 stones between them in just 3 weeks.

Some clinical trials are being carrying out right at this moment to get the NHS to take it on board. The aim is to help those patients who are struggling with obesity and are unable to have surgical gastric bands fitted due to ill health.
Due to its safe and effective nature, the virtual gastric band has become the latest craze in weight loss.

• Non invasive Surgery
• No fears about having surgery to have a Gastric band fitted
• No discomfort with having a virtual gastric band
• Virtual Gastric bands are much more cost effective
• No Time off work with a Virtual gastric band fitter
• No Gastric bands complications with surgery

Surgical Gastric Band and Risks

Undergoing surgery to assist with weight loss is a serious procedure is not a quick fix. Surgical gastric bands are offered to patients with a BMI of over 40, or a BMI of 35-40 if they have other health issues such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure. An adult stomach measures about 12in long by 6in at its widest point, and holds around 4 cups of food and liquid. The purpose of gastric band is to restrict the amount of food a person can physically eat at one sitting, by reducing the capacity of their stomach. The band works on the same principle as a cable tie, with one-way Locking catch. It is wrapped around the outside of the top part of the stomach and clicked into place, and because the stomach is soft, this has the effect of pulling the tie tight, almost like a drawstring bag, creating a small pouch in the upper section of the stomach this is literally about the size of a golf ball.

Once the gastric band is fitted, whatever food is eaten simply gathers in the pouch, and as soon as this is full, then the person experiences the feeling of fullness and cannot cram any more food in. The size of a meal of someone with a gastric band can eat is only around 6 tablespoons of food on the plate, compared with a meal size of around two clenched fists which it would need to fill a normal capacity stomach.

As with any operation there are risks associated with infection and a range of post-operative problems have been reported, such as:
• Nausea and vomiting
• Reflux and regurgitation of food
• Slipped band
• Obstruction and blockage
• Diarrhoea
• Difficulty in swallowing

If complications do occur the band usually gets adjusted or removed. If the band is removed then it will involve further surgery and all the associated risks once again.

There are hundreds of diets available now. Moving from diet to diet in a cycle of weight gain and loss which we call yo-yo dieting can stress the heart, kidneys and other organs can also be at health risk.

Many people on very low calorie diets lost significant amounts of weight. However, after returning to a normal diet, most regain the lost weight in under a year. Ninety percent of people participating in all diet programs will regain the weight they have lost within 2 years. Sustained weight loss of people who are obese is even harder to achieve.

Benefits of the Virtual Gastric Band technique compared to dieting:

• Virtual Gastric band allows you to lose weight without dieting
• The technique allows you to gain confidence
• You will be able to make peace with food and learn to listen to the wisdom of your body
• Forget about being on a diet for life
• You will continue to lose weight and stay slim
• You will no longer have to spend money on buying dieting food. You will learn to eat consciously and be able to overcome cravings

Health risks associated to being overweight or obese

People need to realise the downsides to being overweight. They can end up suffering from: Type 2 diabetes: high blood glucose levels associated with diabetes, increased risk of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure and kidney failure. Damage to the retina is a common problem associated with diabetes

Cancers: Some 13,000 people in UK could avoid getting cancer if they were a healthy weight. The World Health Organisation says obesity is the most important known avoidable causes of cancer after tobacco. With an estimated 300million people overweight/obese worldwide, they reckon that cutting obesity with a healthier diet and more exercise will prevent up to 4million cases of cancer each year.

Heart Attack: A fifth of heart disease can be attributed to obesity and heart disease can cause heart attack and angina. The List goes on – think about it.

Does it involve surgery? During the session the client is convinced, at a subconscious level, that a gastric band has been fitted. The client’s subconscious mind then believes that their stomach capacity has become severely limited and their body responds by feeling full after only a small amount of food has been eaten.

Does it hurt? The Virtual Gastric Band system is a non-invasive behaviour changing method using the techniques of hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. The procedure is extremely relaxing and pleasurable.

Are there side effects? No. There are no side effects associated with undergoing this procedure.

Am I suitable for the Virtual Gastric Band program? If you are over-weight and really want and are committed to losing weight then you should be suitable. The only exception would be if there is a physiological reason for your weight problems or if you are taking certain medications. Your suitability will be assessed at the initial session.

Will it work for me? The Virtual Gastric band program provides you with the tools and ability to lose weight and maintain a healthier body. You will find with the program that you naturally crave healthier meals; and being different or even repulsed by, unhealthy, fattening food. However, the key to success is YOU! No weight loss will be achieved unless you are committed to following the program. If you are totally serious about losing weight then it will certainly work for you.

Is it guaranteed? The Virtual gastric band has been proven to be effective in aiding significant weight loss. It should be noted that it is YOU that holds the key to losing weight and your willingness to be 100% committed. The mind is a very powerful instrument and by using the Virtual Gastric band program you will have the tools and power to change your eating habits. The only way to lose significant amounts of weight is to eat less! VGb helps you change behaviour and life-style which in turn provides you with the ability to lose weight and stay that way!
